Shelly by C.J Riggs
Shelly is a short erotic horror story by C.J Riggs. I think this is the 4th book I’ve read by this author, and I have enjoyed every one that I have read.
This book follows Atlas, who is the MMC, and he could never find the perfect girl; he wanted a connection, but couldn’t connect with any of them the way he wanted. So, what does a normal person do? They make it.
Connection. It’s the one thing I can’t seem to ascertain within my dating pool. Then one morning, I had an epiphany.

Okay, so yes, you read that last bit right, make it. This short erotic horror story reminds me very much of a sexy Frankenstein story. Atlas decides to cut body parts from women he takes on dates so he can use the parts to make his perfect woman, called Shelly. In my head, I kept picturing her looking like Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas with the stitches attaching her body parts. It’s like a mix of Frankenstein and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
“Such a greedy little dead body, aren’t you?”
I’m not sure how much I can say about this short read, I don’t want to full-on spoil this as I think you should read it, especially if you like erotic horror.
It’s definitely 38 pages of totally gross, don’t want to stop reading though.
I rated this 4 stars. I’ve never read anything quite like it, to be honest, and it made me laugh as well as cringe and feel a bit sick, and I think any short read that does that is worthy of 4 stars.
