Timber by Tate James: The Epic Conclusion of the Hades Series

Timber by Tate James

Timber is the 4th and final book in the Hades series, and when I say that I am sad right now that this is over, I’m not even being dramatic. I think I’m grieving.

As with the others, this book follows on exactly where book 3 ends. We think Zed is in the FBI, and Hades has been arrested.

⚠️Spoilers incoming!⚠️

When Hades and Zed initiated the Timberwolf massacre 5 years previously, Zed got seriously injured by Chase. He was stabbed an obscene number of times. Hades had pulled him out of the building and gotten him medical attention, but she couldn’t be there at his bedside as she had to run the Timberwolves. Zed’s mother, whom he believed to be dead, came to visit him and told him the only way he could keep Hades safe and out of prison was to become an FBI agent and give them information on other gangs. So Zed agreed. He did not, however, give them information on Hades.

Hades spends 12 days locked up in Chase’s hideout while he tortures her with drugs, waterboarding and more. She escapes and is running through the forest while being chased (pun intended, sorry not sorry). When the boys find her and save her.

From there on, Hades has to recover from the torture, and then they can go about planning his demise along with the demise of the sick bastards Chase works with.

This book is full of action, and also full of love and spice. Seph has also done a lot of growing up and isn’t as annoying as she was in the previous book. Hades realises that she can be a bad bitch and still ask for and accept help from those close to her. I loved every minute of this series, and I hold this and the MK series close to my heart. These are books I will think about all the time, and I know I will reread them at some point. I gave this book 5 stars, as I have with the other 3 in the series. If I could ever pick an FMC to back me up in a fight, I would pick Hades.

If you have read these reviews and not read the series yet, I highly recommend it.

Start with the Madison Kate series, which is: Hate, Liar, Fake and Kate.

Then move on to the Hades series, which is: 7th Circle, Anarchy, Club 22, and Timber.

Also, I love the covers on the paperbacks, but there is just something about the model covers that I am obsessed with on both the Hades series and the Madison Kate series. I would love to collect the model covers for both, but I know they are out of print and hard to come across without spending a lot of money. Hopefully one day 🤞🏼
