Of Darkness and Ruination is book one in Rachel Fallon’s The Star Queen Chronicles, set in the magical world of Celesterra, a world run by fae and where all humans are slaves. At the age of 21, each human is to leave their families and face Placement Day, which is where they are placed in a different kingdom within Celesterra. Asteria is sent to the Dusk Kingdom and is to be the personal slave for Crown Prince Cyrus, who wants Asteria to give in to his lust and desire for her. She refuses and knows it is a matter of time before he takes it by force, and the only option is to escape. She will be killed if she is caught, and what’s worse, the ruthless King Calix of the Night Kingdom keeps attacking the Dusk Kingdom. There is a war brewing in Celesterra, and Asteria seems to be in the middle of it.

Tragically Yours is book 3 in Jamie’s Fae Kings of Eden series; they are all standalones that can be read in any order, though. This book follows Dean, who is the fae Prince and then later on the King of the Garden Kingdom, and Fawn, who is half human, half fae. Dean is a full bloodied fae and a royal one at that. On the 13th birthday, the royal fae are whispered the name of their mate. There mate who will have been born on the same day as him, traditionally, royals find their mates at 13 and bring them straight to their kingdom to keep them safe. Dean, however, cannot find his mate; he can feel her through the bond until the bond goes silent. His father then delivers the news of her death.

Whilst scrolling threads, I came across an a post from Emilie looking for ARC readers for her book Enchanted. This is a second edition of the book and as soon as I saw Ghost Whisperer vibes in the tropes I signed up! The second edition will be available September 14th.

Enchanted is a romantasy that follows Juliette, the Princess of Reunion Island. Juliette is a witch and her parents are forcing her to choose a mate. Three Princes come to the Chateau vying for her hand. Prince Elmas, a Vampire from Lithuania, Prince Kai, a werewolf and Prince Féidhlim of Éire. Juliette and Féidhlim are drawn to each other but there are secrets and hidden truths casting shadows over them both.
