Madison Kate’s Journey: Love, Revenge, and Bad Boys

Hate by Tate James

The first thing that drew me to this book was the cover. That neon green and pink against the black just spoke to me. I had seen that my friends on TikTok had read the series, and I trusted their views. When I saw the set at a good price, I had to pick them up.

Hate is the first book in the four-book Madison Kate series. It is followed by Liar, Fake, and Kate. I believe these are reverse harem.

Exploring Derek’s Dark Story in the Consumed Trilogy

Consumed Triolgy by Brooklyn Cross

At the end of 2024 I asked 12 friends to each recommend me a book, as I wanted to partake in the 12 friends, 12 months, 12 books challenge that I saw on TikTok but I wanted to not just create a post, I wanted to add it to my book journal and read one of the books each month.

My beautiful friend Corina gave me the Consumed Trilogy as her recommendation. Now I technically only needed one book and was just going to read book one, but I ended up reading all three.

That Sik Luv: A Dark Tale of Love and Religion

That Sik Luv by Jescie Hall

This is a Dark Romance book, which follows Briony, who is a catholic (I believe) girl whose life very much revolves around her religion and her church. Briony has been taught that fornication is a sin and that sexual thoughts and actions are immoral. Briony has a stalker who brings out these feelings in her, and she is fighting with herself over what she has been taught and the way her stalker makes her feel. Aero is the demon who has been stalking her and showing her the truth of the church she lives for, along with the truth of the people around her. This book is dark, thrilling and sexy.

This book has many trigger warnings, some of which are stalking, religious trauma, degradation, depictions of violence/murder and many, many more. Make sure you read them unless you’re like me and you don’t really have any triggers.

She broke my fucking finger, and the blood instantly rushed to my groin.

My fiesty little bitch enjoys bringing me pain, and its entirely unfortunate for her that her little outbursts trigger me further.

Revive Me: An MMA Fighter’s Journey to Love and Healing

Revive Me by Nikki Castle

I applied for the ARC for this book through Chasing Books PR. Even though this is an ARC my review is 100% my true opinion.

Revive Me follows Roman, an MMA fighter who is about to have the biggest fight of his career, and Liliana, who is a Physical Therapist. Roman ends up with a spinal cord injury during his title match, leaving him unable to walk or fight. Fighting has been all Roman has known since he was a teenager, and he can’t fathom a life without it; he doesn’t know who he is without MMA. Roman has been to many PTs, but 2 years after his injury, he ends up at Liliana’s workplace, and it is up to her to get through to Roman and get him back on his feet. However, this wouldn’t be a romance book without the romance, would it, and Roman and Liliana fall for each other, but it’s complicated due to Roman being her patient.

The Ilya Trilogy Review: Love, Loss, and Resilience

My review of Fearless by Lauren Roberts.

I started this book on the 1st May and finished it on the 4th May. I was originally scared to read this book, which I know sounds stupid, it’s just a book, but I fell in love with Kai and Paedyn, and the end of Reckless had me scared for what was to come next for them. I also didn’t want my time in Ilya to end.

I, however, jumped in with both feet, and it felt so good to be back in Ilya, even if I knew it was my last trip. I know many people didn’t love Powerless, but I did, and I love the direction Lauren took the trilogy. I cried at the end of Powerless, and yes, it doesn’t take much to make me cry, but still, I did. I also did the tandem read of Powerless and Powerful, and I would personally say that is the best way to read them. If you want the details of the tandem, read. I have a picture you can download. I used it as a bookmark.
