Anarchy by Tate James
Anarchy is book 2 in the Hades series and this book starts where book 1 left off. Lucas has been taken and Hades, Cass and Zed are searching for him.
In this one, we get more of Cass and Hades, as well as Lucas and Hades, and we see lots of jealous Zed. We also find out who it is that is terrorising them. Someone who should be dead. We get more of Hades’ backstory in this book, but we also see her walls start to come down as she lets the men into her heart. This book also ends on a cliffhanger.
One down, two to go
I woke up at 4:30am and couldn’t get back to sleep (pain). Anyway, I didn’t want to disturb my husband because I am such a good wife, lol, so I went downstairs and obviously picked up my book. I had read the first 70 pages the night before because I needed to make sure Lucas was okay after the book 1 cliffhanger! Anyway, plenty of cups of tea and a few hours later, I’ve finished book 2 and have to grab book 3 because of this cliffhanger! Tate James knows how to make you grab the next book, that’s for sure.
We also get to read the love letter Cass wrote to Hades in this book! It was cute but sinfully hot too. We also see a lot more of the villain in the series, Chase, Hades ‘ ex-fiancé, who should have been dead. It’s also in this book where there seems to be more to Lucas than even he is aware.

Zed also admits to Hades that he loves her. She pushes him away, but she can’t deny that she loves him. Also a we get a hot as fuck scene with Hades & Cass where Zed is watching. 🥵

I am 40% of the way through book 3 so I can’t fully remember is Zed gets his nickname in this book or in book 3 but we need to take a moment to talk about the nicknames because I freaking love them! We have Gumdrop for Lucas, which Zed originally gives him, but you know it sticks and gets used by everyone. Grumpy Cat for Cass, which is just adorably funny, and the one that made me laugh out loud was Zeddy bear started by Cass and of course, is a name that poor Zed can’t get rid of, and it makes me laugh every time. Hades gets called a few variations, Red and Angel by Cass, Dare by Zed and Hayden or babe by Lucas.
The dark look he cast at my Gumdrop said he would be getting revenge during training later, poor darling
I’m utterly obsessed with this series so far. I love all the characters, well, except Chase, obviously, he’s a full-on creep.
I rated this book 5 stars also.
