One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig

One Dark Window is a gothic fantasy novel that follows Elspeth Spindle, who was infected with the fever as a child. Those who get caught in the mist without a lucky charm will get infected, and if they survive the fever, they will be granted wild powers which slowly kill the host. The Never List by Jade Presley

The Never List is a why-choose, enemies-to-lovers, fantasy romance that follows Rylee, who is an Ashlander and a Demi, 2 things hated by the Kings. After Rylee’s sister goes missing, Rylee and her friends decide to attend the choosing ceremony with a forged invitation. The choosing ceremony is for the 4 princes known as the legends of chaos to find their mate, the one woman who can tether them when they come into their full powers. Rylee is only there to see if her sister’s name is on the never list; she certainly isn’t there to be chosen, but when Jax calls her number, she has no choice but to go and make them fall in love with her in hopes that when they find out she is a Demi from Ashlander, they won’t kill her.

Explore the World of Fantasy with Mariah Montoya in this exclusive Interview

This was not only a new series but a new author to me. One who has now become an auto-buy author! So I decided to pull up my big girl pants and slide my behind into her DMs to ask if she would be down for an interview. I was so nervous, but when she replied saying yes…guys, I felt so giddy!! I mean, the title has given away who it is already, but I’m so super happy to have the wonderful Mariah Montoya on my blog 🙂 By the Orchid and the Owl may be one of my all-time favourite fantasy worlds!

So let’s get to it!

Blood & Throttle: A Dystopian Death Race of Love and Survival

Blood & Throttle by Nova Kane

18+ Contains Adult Content

I started November off strong with my first ARC of the month, Blood & Throttle, which follows Sienna ‘Sin’ Vega and Riot Carter. This book is set in the future in a dystopian world, where the streets run red with bloodshed in The Gauntlet, a brutal death race. There are no rules in the gauntlet; you win or you die. Sienna is forced into the gauntlet to pay for a crime she is being framed for. She has a chance of freedom by winning, but Sienna doesn’t submit, and the men in the gauntlet don’t like that. She has a target painted on her back, a busted-up motorbike, and sheer stubbornness to make it to the finish line. Riot Carter is the reigning champ, the legend known as the Reaper. He’s got the fastest bike and is a weapon in his own right. Riot doesn’t care for other racers, but when he sees Sienna, he knows she is different, and he claims her as his. It becomes a full-time job trying to protect her, a job that puts a target on his back too. Blood & Throttle is being released on 12th November and is available for pre-order now.
