April 2026 Reading Wrap-Up

I have been house-sitting this past month, which has made it difficult to keep my blog up to date. Since my last review, I have read 3 books. I will do my best to get reviews up for these over the next week.

Anyway, no chit-chat, this is what I managed to read in April. I was flying through my reading, then I became poorly, and it took me a while to finish the last book I read, which meant I didn’t fit in another challenge book 😦

I started with Wrecking Ball by Lindsey Powell. I was supposed to read this book in March as it was part of my 12 Months…12 Authors challenge. Funnily I haven’t managed to read this months book from that challenge either *face palm* I enjoyed this book, but there was just something missing. I gave it 3.5 stars.

I then read Accidentally Yours by Christina Lauren. This was cute, but not much to it. I gave it 3 stars.

I then read Unsuspected Love by L.S. Pullen, and I also gave this 3 stars.

My book club read for the month was Willing Prey by Allie Oleander, and I really enjoyed this. I gave it 4 stars.

I then read Claimed by her monsters by Lexi Davis, and again, this was cute, and I had fun reading it. 4 stars.

Next was an ARC of Formaldehyde by J.N. Bamforth. I enjoyed this, but something was missing. It didn’t have the same grip or shock factor as the other 2 books I have read by her. 3 stars. Full blog review to come.

I then had another ARC, which was Heart Eyes by Effie Campbell. This was super cute, and I was hooked. 4 stars. Full blog review to come.

Lastly, I finished the month with the book from my 12 months…12 Friends challenge, which was Graves by Katelyn Taylor. This book may have taken me the longest to finish, but it was my favourite read of the month. Full blog review to come.
