Hot Vampire Next Door is a novella (although it is said to be a Kindle Vella Serial, which is a boxset of episodes 1-18, which I have never heard of before) that follows Jessie and Bran. Jessie is a human, Bran is a vampire. In Midnight Harbor, humans share the space with many supernatural beings, and once they become of age at 21, they are to pledge themselves to a supernatural being. Jessie’s family has always been pledged to the Locke family, and it is expected that Jessie will pledge there too, but she is enamoured with Bran Duval, the black sheep of the Duval family. Bran is not as unaffected by Jessie as he makes out to believe, but when Jessie and Bran find out that secrets are being kept that involve Jessie, they go hunting for the truth. Who is Jessie really?

“Good Girl,” he says. “Behave yourself tonight.”

Pump Two is a novella that follows Violet, who has just started a new job working in a gas station for the night shift. Here she meets Devon, whom she only knows as biker guy to begin with. Devon first comes in and gets $20 on pump two, but he instantly becomes enamoured with Violet and finds himself riding around so he can use up his gas and go back to the gas station to see her. Eventually, they get talking, but Devon never removes his helmet or his ski mask. When Violet eventually sees the man under the mask, will she still want him?

“Call her a name other than the one on her name tag, and I will shove one of those gasoline pumps so far down your throat, you will bleed from the inside out,” Biker Guy snarls. All initial calmness has completely evaporated from his being. “You’ll never be able to look at a pump the same way again…or be physically capable of complaining about one.”

Sweet Doe is book 4 in the Wrecked series, but you only need to read Slaying for Sloan (book 3) before you read this one. You must read Slaying for Sloan first as Sweet Doe continues where Slaying for Sloan ends.

Sloan is in Holly Grove for the holiday’s meeting her boyfriend’s family. When Alex starts acting differently, he has a darker, more exciting side to him that Sloan loves, only she realises it isn’t Alex. It’s his twin brother Asher. It was a game that started in a lustful haze, that soon turned into fear when Asher takes Sloan deep into the mountains, hiding her away and keeping her for himself. Sloan wants to be angry, wants to be scared, but on one hand, he killed his own twin brother; on the other hand, he treats Sloan well, cares for her, cooks for her, and loves her. Dirty Little Trick is a Wildwood Halloween Novella. This Novella follows Raven and Griffin. Raven is at home on Halloween night after finding out her boyfriend has been cheating on her. Halloween is Raven’s favourite holiday, and she is upset to be missing the fun. She decides to stay in and watch scary movies with her cat, Coco. However, she finds herself in a similar situation to the lead female of the movie she is watching when someone breaks into her house and chases her.
