Once a month, if possible me and my 2 aunties try to go on a little road trip to visit bookshops around the UK. We go off what we see online that looks good, so far we haven’t traveled too far. We’ve been to 66 books, The Old Pier Bookshop and The OakTree Bookshop. This month, we headed off to Morecambe again. We have visited this bookshop before and decided to go back again.
We visited, The Old Pier Bookshop, which is a second hand family run bookshop facing the ocean.
This shop has books from floor to ceiling, and on first look you may get overwhelmed that you won’t find what you want but thats the beauty of it in a way. You can spend a long time surrounded by books looking through what they have. Also if you ask the owner he can tell you what section to look in, he’s very nice and knows his store very well. You may have to move books to look behind but again its like getting lost in a Narnia of books. As soon as you walk in you can smell the books.

I picked up 3 books on this visit, I got
The Tattooist of Austchwitz by Heather Morris
A Touch of Chaos by Scarlett St. Clair and
Forever by Maggie Stiefvater
I didn’t realise until I was in the car on my way home that Forever was signed by the author! It was signed to Olivia, and cost me £2! Thats the beauty of shops like this, you can find hidden gems.
If you want to visit The Old Pier Bookshop here is the details:

After going to the bookshop we met my mum and aunty in Lytham St Annes for fish & chips, which i’ll be honest weren’t very nice, but us all spending time together was nice.
I decided while I was at the beach I will film a video for my TikTok promoting Lauren Biel’s Sinners Retreat. I always feel awkward filming in public but more so when my family are laughing at me. 🤣

It was kind of hard getting the video I wanted but I was fairly happy with how it turned out.
That’s our latest trip, it was lots of fun and if you have any bookshops you think we should visit please let me know, especially in the North of England.
