The Never List is a why-choose, enemies-to-lovers, fantasy romance that follows Rylee, who is an Ashlander and a Demi, 2 things hated by the Kings. This was all strange enough as is, but what led the boys to the girl’s body in the first place was even stranger…drawings of chalk men. Now in 2016, the boys are adults, and not as close-knit as they once were. Eddie knows who they say killed the girl, but he doesn’t believe it. It’s been 30 years, but maybe they can figure out who actually killed her.
It never came. There were extensive searches, questions and appeals but, despite the best efforts of all the detectives and all the town’s men, her head was never found, and the girl in the woods was never put together again.

This was not only a new series but a new author to me. One who has now become an auto-buy author! I started November off strong with my first ARC of the month, Blood & Throttle, which follows Sienna ‘Sin’ Vega and Riot Carter. This book is set in the future in a dystopian world, where the streets run red with bloodshed in The Gauntlet, a brutal death race. There are no rules in the gauntlet; you win or you die. Sienna is forced into the gauntlet to pay for a crime she is being framed for. She has a chance of freedom by winning, but Sienna doesn’t submit, and the men in the gauntlet don’t like that. She has a target painted on her back, a busted-up motorbike, and sheer stubbornness to make it to the finish line. Riot Carter is the reigning champ, the legend known as the Reaper. He’s got the fastest bike and is a weapon in his own right. Riot doesn’t care for other racers, but when he sees Sienna, he knows she is different, and he claims her as his. It becomes a full-time job trying to protect her, a job that puts a target on his back too. Blood & Throttle is being released on 12th November and is available for pre-order now.

My Experience at Leeds’ Biggest Book Event AATA25
On the 25th of October, I attended Authors At The Armouries in Leeds. This was the biggest book event I have ever been to. To be fair, it was also my second ever one, haha. My first being Authors Behind Bars in Shrewsbury last November. Unless meeting Tulisa at a Waterstones signing counts, if so, it was my third, not second lol.

Each month, I try and interview a new author. This month, I reached out to Nikki J Summer. Nikki is a lovely person, she is also a dark romance author, and her book, The Taskmaster, is being released this month! I will give you a little bit about The Taskmaster at the end.
Fun fact, Nikki’s book The Psycho was my first ever dark romance book, it was pretty much my first romance book too, I think. Well, I read Twilight in my teens, but other than that and fanfiction, it was my foot in the door of the romance genre, especially dark romance. Now here we are, a few years later, with 3 bookshelves full of romance books and a Kindle with plenty of unhinged spicy books on it. I have zero regrets, but just so you know, Nikki, I blame you for my obsession, since it started with you 😆

Wellard Asylum: Where Dark Secrets and Killer Twins Make for a Wild Read in A.L. Maruga’s Lethal
Lethal is another book in the shared world of Wellard Asylum. This one follows Psychiatrist Caterina Vaughn and the Carnevil twins, Bash & Wren Norwood.
The Norwood twins are serial killers who lured their victims in through charm and manipulation, only to spend days torturing them and consuming their flesh. Dr Caterina Vaughan thinks that she can get inside their minds and understand them, but then they become obsessed with her, and she starts to become obsessed with them. She is meant to cure them, but they have found the darkness that lives inside her and are pulling it to the surface.

Meet C.J. Riggs: Hilarious Author of Erotic Horror
After interviewing Kinsley and Harleigh, I knew I wanted to interview more authors. I knew I wanted C.J. Riggs to be my next interview because this woman has had me laughing out loud with her funny videos and commentary. I have legit choked on a drink watching Riggs’ TikTok video! Not only is she hilarious, but the first book I ever read by her blew my mind to pieces! I fell in love with her writing, and I am making it my mission to read her full catalogue. I have 1 book I need to read. I am also attending AATA in October, and so is Riggs and I really want to meet her and get my books signed!
Obviously, I slid my arse into Riggs’ dms like I was practising for the cha cha slide. I was anxious, but she was so sweet when she responded, even though she was on her holidays, she took the time to respond to me which I thought was super sweet!
